Position Title: PHP Developer / PHP Geek / MySQL Query Guru (Full Time)

Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated web programmer to join our team, working on innovative web software research and development projects.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing web software working with PHP/MySQL/javascript/CSS/xHTML. Over two years of related experience is ideal, but new graduates with the required skills will be considered.

Knowledge of modern PHP Frameworks (Zend, Cake, etc.), Javascript frameworks and jQuery will be an asset as would strong skills in software and database design.

Our company is located in Gormley, Ontario (just north of Markham). This position is a research & development position at our company.

Major Responsibilities:

Your regular work will include, but not be limited to, object oriented programming, database development and software integration using PHP/MySQL, javascript, xHTML/CSS. Some .Net/ASP work may be required.

Qualifications:

University Degree or college diploma in computer science or related field
Experience with: PHP, MySQL, javascript, object oriented programming, xHTML and CSS. Nice to have: ASP, Flash, Linux admin
Strong team player, work well with others in a collaborative environment
Ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects with compressed timelines
Self-directed worker able to deliver tested, bug free code to schedule
Strong English communication skills, French an asset
Willingness to learn new skills and emerging tools for programming language

Position Title: Web developer / Designer / UX Pioneer (Full Time)

Job description

Working in the same technical environment as the PHP developer listed above, your area of responsibility will be the User Experience. You will be the go-to person on the team for layouts, designs, and usability.

From creating an original design for a new client websites one day to setting up a tricky piece of CSS or JavaScript the next, there is never a dull moment in this role.

We aim to be awesome, and as everyone knows the user experience is critical to achieving that!

Major Responsibilities:

Your regular work will include, but not be limited to, Graphic Design, HTML/CSS template coding (to W3C standards), JavaScript, xHTML/CSS. A strong focus on Responsive Design using Bootstrap and other frameworks, always with the ability to work with and understand code.

Qualifications:

University Degree or college diploma in Design, Usability, Web Development or related field
Experience with: hand-coding validated HTML templates, Mobile and Responsive design, JavaScript, PHP
Experience with PHP and JavaScript Frameworks an asset
Strong team player, work well with others in a collaborative environment
Ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects with compressed timelines
Self-directed worker able to deliver tested, bug free code to schedule
Strong English communication skills, French an asset
Willingness to learn new skills and emerging tools
