New Internet tool: Canadaone(TM) launches free news release builder

Stouffville, ON July 24, 1998 - Business people can now get free help online with writing a news release. The News Release Builder launched recently on the growing CanadaOne website at www.canadaone.com and is designed to help business people write and distribute effective news releases.

This 5-part workshop steps through building and distributing a news release. Included are tips on preparation, formatting, layout, writing, and distributing the release. The workshop also includes an easy to use online wizard that lets users write news releases on the CanadaOne website. With the wizard users simply type the release as prompted and then click the submit button. The release is then automatically compiled into a standard news release format and emailed to the user. A password system protects users from potentially losing their work in case they have accidentally submitted an incorrect email address.

"This is an excellent time for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to gain media attention," says Julie King, editor of CanadaOne. "Our goal is to help these companies prepare for, write, and then distribute their news releases."

The News Release Builder was designed to make the process of building a news release as simple as possible for the users. Even if the company intends to have a professional prepare the actual release, this workshop will help the business prepare effectively for the news release writing and distribution process. Visitors to CanadaOne can access the News Release Builder through the direct link: http://www.canadaone.com/promote/pressrelease.html or by clicking on the Promote link from the front page of the CanadaOne site.
