News Streams

Our news publishing system is designed to help you get important news and announcements out to your community. Put summaries or headlines of articles on select pages, which link to the full story. Articles can be in draft mode (they don't appear on your site until activated), active or  archived. You can also delete stories.

The default news module includes a title, author, publication date, short description, long description and a newly added "Tweet" field.

Customizations

You have several customization options, which include:

Auto-archive data: Set the date when the article will no longer appear on the site and be moved to the archives.

Categories:  Add categories to your news stories, so that stories in different categories will appear on different sections of your site.

Images: Want to add an image to go with your story? No problem. This feature lets you upload an image to go with your story. What's more, the program can automatically generate thumbnail images.

Video-embed code fields: Use this field to include videos from YouTube or other video sites.

Author avatars and pages: Dress up your news module by adding author avatars (author photos) and accompanying information pages about each author.
